Considered the most beautiful of all platinum bullion coins, the Australian Koala is exquisitely designed and extensively frosted, for a luminous brilliance not found on other platinum bullion coins.

Australia was the first major nation in modern times to announce its intention to produce an ounce-denominated platinum coin issue and since its first year of issue, the Australian Koala platinum coins have remained a leader in world investment coin markets.

The design on the obverse of the Platinum Koala features an Ian Rank Broadley portrait of Queen Elizabeth II. She is encircled by her name, the name of the country, and the denomination. The reverse design of the Koala changes annually, save for the larger sizes in certain years. Each year features a different representation of the cuddly, tree-climbing marsupial.
